Gerrit Cole Throwing a Bullpen (He topped out at 96, featured a new windup working back from TJ):

Cole met with reporters following his bullpen sessions on Friday. He said he “felt really good. It feels different than it has been in quite some time.”

“I just miss playing.” He added. “I miss that outlet of working hard and feeling exhausted every five days.” After talking about how the family time was nice, he reiterated again that he missed competing.

Given the time Cole had to himself during his recovery, he also spoke about what he’s learned about himself, given the year without baseball for the first time in years.

“It’s kind of reaffirmed some of my core values, how I go about my work.” Said Cole. “The work during this rehab process is different than what I typically would be doing when healthy. Yet, I’ve attacked the process the same way as I attack the regular work.

“That has produced good results, so it just gives me confidence that I go about my business the right way.”

Cole also developed a new windup and said it “feels good”. He also added that he is on track to return in June, give or take a few days.
